Recipe
- Mapillai samba Rice - 1 cup,
- Thuvar dal - 1 cup,
- Moong dal - 1/ 2 cup,
- Chana dal - 1/2 Cup,
- Urad dal - 1/4 Cup,
- coconut - 1/2 cup.
- Red chilli and salt to taste.
- Drumstick leaves and coriander leaves to taste ( more the keerai, more the taste).
Soak rice (separate) and dals (all dals together) overnight. Next morning, grind dals, chillies and coconut to a smooth paste. Grind rice separately little coarse(rava like) and make it to idli batter consistency. Add salt and washed and cut keerai. Make adais on dosa pan on medium flame with little oil. Turn and roast for a while.
Mapillai Samba Vadai
To adai maavu, add little more rice flour to get it to vada consistency. Add small cut Onion, lot of coriander leaves, deep fry and enjoy.
